FAMILY MATTERS
Family Matters, a program that serves residents of
Phoebe Home, partners with families and friends who
know the residents best. Its aim is to provide regular
communication, education, support and access for loved
ones who may be new to the nursing home environment.
Welcome calls to families of new admissions and check-up
calls to families of residents who have been in Phoebe's
care for some time are both features of Family Matters
that encourage open lines of communication.
The Social Services staff recognizes that interacting
with caregivers in a skilled nursing community can be
intimidating for families at first. By establishing
open lines of communication, they hope to improve quality
of life for residents and level of satisfaction for
families.
